TIGER Workshop 2016

We are pleased to announce the TIGER workshop 2016 - "Looking after Water for Sustainable Development" which will take place the 1st-2nd February 2016 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, hosted kindly by our long-term partner UNECA.
Following our long tradition of TIGER workshops - most recently in Tunisia (2013) and South Africa (2011) - we aim at bringing the African community for water resources management and Earth Observation together. The launch of the Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 missions, the publication of the open-source Water Observation Information System and most recent the approval of the 6th Sustainable Development Goal for Water and Sanitation are all important news for the TIGER community which we would like to share and discuss with you.
