TIGER Research Call "Water for Agriculture": 10 new Research TIGER Studies selected

In December 2015, a wide range of African and European researchers from different institutions of the two continents submitted a proposal in response to the TIGER research call "Water for Agriculture".

All received proposals were reviewed following the requirements and evaluation criteria published in the call by a scientific committee composed by Earth Observation experts belonging to lead European institutions.

In view of the overall high quality and number of the received proposals, making the selection of only 10 proposals was a difficult effort but necessary due to limited resources. The work with the 10 selected projects will officially begin in February 2016 with a Kick-Off meeting immediately after the TIGER Workshop in Addis Abeba. In the meantime we will keep the community informed about any new possibility that will arise from the TIGER initiative in the coming year over the newsletter.

We are pleased to announce that the following 10 new TIGER Research Projects have been selected for strengthening the scientific collaboration between Africa and Europe for water resource management:
