Training of Trainers in South Africa

The first Training of Trainers on Land Cover Mapping in Water Resources Management will take place in Pretoria, South Africa from 18-22 November 2013. This event organised by Cap-Net aims to train water professionals to use Earth Observation techniques in land cover mapping. The course will entail detailed presentations, practical exercises and fieldwork, participants will also learn how to best exploit the Training Kit prepared by the TIGER Capacity Building Facility. Participants will be expected to apply the knowledge gained through this course in their respective area of operation and to deliver further training. Application is opened only to interested parties from the African Region, there will be no fee charged for participation in the training.
